All my jeans are X2 jeans from Express, they are the most comfortable for me. But this is more a request for all the Uncraties: I cannot find a pair of jeans (anywhere!) that fits me right - anyone seen some decent jeans with a 29 waist x 34? Thanks!

J.Lindeberg jonte. Best jeans I've ever had. They're about $200, but the denim is extremely high quality and they fit me incredibly well. I have a few pairs of DKNYs and some Nudies that are nice, but the Lindebergs are by far the best. No stupid designs on them, just nice subtle jeans.

The Mossimo Jeans from Target are the hidden jean gem of the planent. $25 bucks and a perfect fit feel. It doesn't make sense to spend $200 when you can get these for 1/8 the price. Besides, theres something drastically wrong when a guy spends $200 on a pair of jeans.

Of course, the fit wouldn't work for people that like tight jeans.

True Religion Joey's that I just got are my new faves. Perfect after 2-3 wearings. Some older Seven's are second in comman but they are starting to wear at the knee, had them for 3-4 years though.

I love Levi's premium jeans. The Austin cut is the best, low ride, boot cut. And they look like normal Levi's but the denim is a lot softer and appears more broken in, even when they were brand new.

I've got a pair of Sevens from last winter that kick so much ass. They're getting to the point that they've gone from my "nice jeans" to my "everyday jeans," obtained a couple cooking and working-on-the-car stains, but they're still good looking enough that I consistently wear them out. And the argyle pattern on the ass-pockets draws enough attention while really stepping up the class. Hands down, the best pair of jeans ever.

At the time i was very close to purchasing the same raw denim in an Ernest Sewn jean, but after seeing these at H&M it looks like they almost copied the Ernest Sewn design, very similar look right down to the stitching on pockets and the labels inside the jean. Yes not near the quality of the ES pair but I bought 3 pairs for about 1/2 the price.

I agree with the earlier posters who like Express for Men X2 Jeans. I have 4-5 pairs and was able to use discounts, gift cards, or promo coupons to get most of them for around $30-40 each. That's a very reasonable price for jeans that last several years and fit great! (36x34)

I have a pair of Tommy Hilfiger carpenter jeans that I picked up at the outlet for a cool $30, that I've worn pretty much every day of the year when it was cold out (so probably 6 months of the year) for the last 2 years. Lee 101B and 101Z. Perfect cut, excellent denim, timelessly classic. Almost anything Levis is perfect as well, Sugar canes 47 XX reproductions are the Messiah of denim sent to Earth to save the world from crappy denim.

A note to Andres Lee 101B-Z are a great straight leg cut for full figured men. (guys with 32+ waists :)) Plus they come in nice green line selvedge denim so pretty decent.

AG is the master of washes and a bit of a denim legend for those who know any denim history.

Another side not you guys need to cool out on the Rock and Republics; seriously jeans designed by Posh Spice are not for men.

I don't get it, we're not like girls who need the jeans to hug every curve we have, they just have to sit there, cover us, be relatively the right size, and not be acid-washed. I'm glad to see that there are a few sensible dudes still out there though. If I spent more than $50 for jeans, I'd feel like a sissy primadonna schmuck. Just because they're $250 doesn't mean they're made of some "better" denim or even better constructed. I like to wear my william rasts. I wanted to comment on guys that were hating on the expensive denim. My parents aren't rich, I pay for my jeans myself, and I am in college. It's not that I like expensive jeans only, but I do like GOOD jeans and I find that lots of good pairs of jeans are made by expensive brands, but there are a lot of terrible jeans that are expensive too. I think we can all agree that we like nice looking jeans that fit well, and those can come at high or low prices. As for there being better things to spend money on, well, that's pretty subjective, so I can't really say what the best thing to spend money on is for others, only myself.

By the way, as somebody who works at Lucky Brand I can assure expensive jeans are made more well and with better materials than cheap-o stuff.

Actually they just tell us to inform people of that if they ask in the store, but if you seriously put Luckys next to something from Kohl's there's a clear difference. If you at least care about your appearance and the way your clothes fit you'll know that. Naturally.

Im obsesed with Jbrand. They introduced a mens product that follow on the heels of the uber popular womens. The style of Jbrand is skinny with clean washes and terrific fit. I wear mine all the time and get complimets on the street of NYC.

Call me cheap, but the pair that I wore the most is Club Monaco's Red Label. Followed closely by American Eagle low-rise boot. Banana Republic's Utility fit are very nice too. These have the off-black or off-blue base colours, with a subtle wash but laid back enough. I hate some jeans out there that seems to try too hard to make it look like you live 24/7 in your jeans doing construction work.

The trick to not paying upwards of $300 is to find a reliable source on eBay.

I had about 4 experiences where the seller sold fake stuff until I found a good one. They good ones usually provide products that have minor imperfections that didn't make the cut to retail. You have to do a little research for each brand to find out what each does for fraud protection.

Make sure you get the holographic tags, especially the one that is sewn into the jean.

$55 + $10 for shipping isn't bad.

I saw someone mentioned the Ezras from Abercrombie. Generally I stay away from the store, but the pants work well for me. I tend to wear my pants lower on my hips (no crack though) and only wear a 30 inseam (6') so finding jeans that fit length are important. I also have no butt which tends to leave a baggy rear on many pants. I'm pretty disappointed that Abercrombie is ending the Ezra line.

I was wearing Express exclusively through high school and into my first year of college, but they fit a bit loose in the butt. Levi's makes some great pants, and numerous fits so if you find the one for you they are great (514s myself). Own a couple pairs of TRs, but I don't see how they can be favorites, esp. the Joeys which don't make for very good daily wear pants.

I'm currently running around in a pair of Levi's 527 in dark blue. Sadly, they went off production. One of my favorite summer/flip flop jeans are Tommy Hilfiger Freedom jeans... which, also sadly, are not produced anymore. I also got a pair of Divided Jeans by H&M in DARK DARK DARK indigo. Which are also not produced anymore (I think I may hae gotten the last pair ever).

All the ones I like are not in production. Strange, huh? Next on my list are A&F Baxter and Levi's Skinner! Too bad I live in Europe where these are not sold.

levis 527...cheap plus they have several options on style. love the 501s but they dont fit quite as perfect as the 527.

Nudie "Slim Jim". Buy them in dry denim wear them all the time, love them, sleep in them and hold off on washing them for as long as you can (a year is not innapropriate). Denim is like a canvas the more dirt and wear on the denim the nicer it looks. When you finally do wash them they will look awesome.

This is a tough project and most people aren't up to the challenge (major downside is wearing jeans that smell "not so fresh")

This will work for any pair of jeans you can buy in dry unwashed denim. I just happend to like the "slim Jim" cut.

Arnold, slim jim are not bad, I like the fit of mine when sized down one, however mine is the "Dry Indigo" which is broken twill soft denim. For raw jeans I would expect something heavier, maybe a 13 oz right-hand twill.

My favorite pair is a pair of 45rpm Soraihikos. I'm also liking the 19cm black overdyeds by Dior Homme as well.

I took up raw denim 5 years ago and never looked back.

I own probably about 15 pairs of jeans, most of them are Express, and a few are American Eagle. The Express jeans are the most comfortable I own, but I've got a pair of "destroyed" jeans from AE that I love wearing.

I've looked at the Mossimo jeans at Target, and I like the style, just haven't actually picked up a pair yet. I think anything over $100 is ridiculous for jeans.

APC New Standard. Hands down best jeans I've ever owned. A bit pricy at $150, but I wear them everyday no matter what, and they're the only pants I own, so I don't mind paying that kind of cash. They break in over time, and just keep looking and feeling better. I wash them in the shower about once a year.

Say that spending too much money on jeans is dumb is really condescending and a bit ignorant. Some people collect jeans, I don't buy car stereo stuff, or sports memorabilia.

Also saying that being into fashion or "cuts" of jeans is not a 'feminine' trait. I am a general contractor, I have a wife, I have facial hair; does this mean I am not allowed to enjoy denim history or the construction of denim?

The only piece of negativity I have to offer is that jeans are timeless; thus being said the best cuts are probably the simplest. "Fashion jeans" as I like to cal them are not the best for a "collection" although they may look good for a time.

As far as quality goes; quality denim can be found anywhere from JC Penny (they have had some selvedge denim) to Gap, to hugo boss, to Dolce and Gabbana. Price does not = quality. My all time faves are anything Lee or Levis, wranglers are killer if you like broken twill.

Express used to make stretch jeans for men, briefly. Nice boot-cut, and, because of the stretchiness, they can both look good and not impede your movement (I've ripped 2 pairs of Gap jeans while attempting to get on a horse, get over a fence, etc)

it's a shame they changed the back label from a rich embossed brown leather panel to a cheap black microfiber one and added all sorts of extraneous straps and interior badges. buy a pair and cut them all out.

Got a couple pairs of sevens, they're my favorite. Citizen of humanity are nice, as well as Rock and Republic. Got a couple pairs of GAP jeans too which are nice, and the good old standby - levis.

I'm an investor in 7 for All Mankind and, even though I'm a little overwhelmed by this type of validation, I have to agree with the guy who said "you have a sack." I like nice clothes too, but this is a little much.

I'm actually thinking that investing in mens handbags, pumps, and cosmetics might actually be a good idea. That scares me.
