Maybe we're just getting old, but we much prefer the new Tesla Model S ($60,000 est; 2010) to the much-too-Lotus-y Tesla Roadster. This brand new 4-door, 5-passenger electric sedan, like the first zero-emission Tesla, is powered by a powerful lithium-ion battery pack. The company says the car will have exceptional performance, going 0–60 in less than 6 seconds while getting about 240 miles per charge. [via]

It's not like MINI's automobiles were gas guzzlers to begin with, but if you're looking for the greenest MINI you can get, check out the new MINI E ($TBA). If you've been down the cleaning aisle lately, you might recall feeling a bit overwhelmed. The carbon fiber beauty is now in pre-production, with availability scheduled for this fall.

Nevermind the sleek looks of the brushed metal housing on the Breville Die-Cast Smart Toaster (2-slice 130; 4-slice $180) — it's the internal smart chip that provides its beauty. The chip automatically lowers bread into the toasting slots at a touch, regulates toasting time, and facilitates the ultra-handy lift-and-look function and the subsequent "a bit more" setting. Meanwhile, the blue LED panels illuminate to the selected setting on the variable browning control, acting as a toasting progress indicator. Basically, if you burn your toast using this, you have only yourself to blame.

Candles are a great way to create a relaxing, intimate mood, but unfortunately most of them smell so girly that it's practically not worth the effort. Enter the Tocca 007 Candle ($36/10.6 oz). Inspired by James Bond, the scent evokes the aromas of a dry martini and the interior of a vintage leather-clad Aston Martin. Plus, at 10.6 oz, it should last through quite a few "assignments." Take that, Yankee Candle.
Take cubicle wars to a whole new level with the Airsoft Handgun with Laser Sight ($10). This small Airsoft pellet gun, with a removable clip for holding 12 shots, has a laser sight equipped for better aiming. A nice, big cutting surface is a must for anyone looking to get into cooking, but unfortunately the offerings you'll find at most kitchen stores are overpriced and undersized. The Overboard ($40) solves both those problems by sporting a 20"x20" cutting surface made from end grain solid hardwood. At 2" thick, it weighs in at 15+ pounds and it looks better than similar, smaller boards we've seen selling in the $100 neighborhood.
Your toolbox will feel a lot lighter after you dump excess gear in favor of the Swiss Tech Utili-Key ($8). This lightweight, key-size, six-in-one tool sports a straight knife blade and a serrated cutting surface, a micro-sized screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, an eyeglass screwdriver, and a bottle opener. The wash is dark blue with heavy fading on the front and seat, making them pretty versatile.

A 3.5-liter V6 engine would deliver most of the power, while an electric motor will provide fuel-efficiency. It'll sport a unique retractable roof and an ultra-futuristic interior. Let's pray to the car gods that this one gets made.

The classic Rubik's Cube is a great little toy to have around the house or office, but let's face it: the original, plastic cube is a bit of an eyesore in a lot of environments and can sometimes seem tacky. Fix that problem with this beautiful Zontik Games Rubik's Cube ($155). Made from solid chrome with rich leather inlaid sides, no one will ever call this Cube "tacky."

The DB Clay Stampage Wallet ($55) is a matte black wallet with a glossy, black, grandma's wallpaper-style print on it. Other features include a waterproof nylon lining and rounded corners, but its double dose of black is the real attention getter.

Who said comfy lounge clothes had to start with the word "Sweat," anyway?

Almost every guy we know of has a drawer somewhere in their house where they keep the contents of their pockets when it's time to change into house clothes. Now you can get that stuff organized with the Colby Leather Valet ($39). It has three open compartments to hold items like your wallet, cell, loose change, credit cards, etc., along with a lidded compartment to hold jewelry, watches, and the like. The best part? Now you can keep this stuff out in the open, and use that spare drawer for something else.

We've all seen commercials for Crest Whitestrips and the like, but having one of those things in your mouth for the recommended time is not only uncomfortable, it's a little gross. We've been trying out the Go Smile Advanced Formula B1 ($90), and it performs well without the inconvenience of strips. Professionally formulated by Jonathan B. Levine, D.M.D., the formula comes in little portable bottles with brush-tip ends so you can customize your whitening and do it on the go. Plus, it'll make your teeth between 4-10 shades whiter in just seven days, perfect for getting your teeth in shape before the holidays.

Amenity Pillows ($95-$180) come in a variety of sizes, colors, and prints to make sure that they match your decor perfectly. We're pretty big fans of the Bloom Pillow in Cream with Copper ($95-$105; pictured) but there are plenty more that are worth checking out for your home, and the matching wall prints are pretty sweet as well.

Not since the days of the Super Nintendo have we been this pumped up for a console launch. The Nintendo Wii ($250; Nov. 19) is the next-generation console from Nintendo, and it looks like a blast. With a revolutionary controller that lets you use movements to control games, Nintendo is shooting for gameplay that is more fun and communal, shunning better graphics for other innovations. Oh, and did we mention it comes with Wii Sports, which includes tennis, golf, baseball, bowling and boxing games? And you can play old Gamecube games on it, but the biggest — and to us, most exciting — feature is the Virtual Console, which will let you download and play NES, SNES, N64, TurboGrafx 16, and Genesis games, all from the Wii. Wii can't wait.

Despite the name, this isn't supposed to make you smell like a pothead. Fresh Cannabis Santal ($75) is a unique, masculine scent that features notes of dark plum, patchouli, magnolia, chocolate, vanilla musk, kumquat, and vetiver. Smells nice, sounds illegal — what more do you want? [Thanks, Clint!]

Despite what many people think, a toothbrush doesn't have to be expensive to do a decent job of cleaning your teeth. We've been trying out the Reach Fresh & Clean Toothbrush w/ Tongue Cleaner ($5 for 2) for the last few weeks and it really is a great toothbrush. While the bristles do the cleaning job on your teeth, the real kicker is the integrated tongue cleaner on the opposite side. Together, this combo not only fights plaque but also keeps your breath fresh — which is always a good thing.
