MoreFar in Brewster, NY. It is a corporate course owned by AIG, kind of hard to get on but that is what makes it great. You play 18 and never see another soul.

Wooden Sticks Golf Course
Uxbridge, ON.
It's just outside Toronto. 12 of the 18 holes are "replica" holes of those found on some of the most famous courses around the world. But I have to say as much as I like playing the replica holes there original holes are challenging too.
Oh and the 17th hole of Wooden Sticks is the 17th from Sawgrass. (I have pared it twice and put 6 balls in the water the other two times)

Centennial Golf Club
Medford, Oregon
Beautiful setting. Largest course in our region and has lots of potential. Just opened last summer, so all the trees and shrubs have a little while before they make this course even mroe beautiful than it already is. I've never played there, but I can see it from my balcony.

Devil's Pulpit, Caledon, Ontario. About 1/2 an hour north of Toronto... Amazing vistas, challenging holes, but a private course. Wooden Sticks is great as well, as mentioned above.
Banff Springs in Banff, Alberta, is pretty amazing if you can look away from the mountains long enough to strike the ball.

Good recommendation for a good priced, fairly easy to get on course in L.A.
This should really be categorized.
I like Augusta. But I'm not playing there anytime soon, nor ever.

Eagle Knoll in Ashland, Missouri is a very hidden gem. It's between Columbia and Jefferson City in the middle of the state, and is one of the most challenging places I've played. Not to mention it costs about $25 for 18 holes.

My favorite local course is Colonial country club here in Memphis. Gerlad Ford got a hole in one there, and it's where Jerry Pate jumped in the water..
But my favorite of all time is the Hard Labor Creek golf coarse in Rutledge GA, it's sentimental for me.

Hey, in Vancouver B.C., Canada, I think there is no better place to play a round than Northlands G.C.&C. It's a BEAUTIFUL public course and a bargain as well... better kept than many semi-private and private courses I have played. Check it out, I promise it will challenge any level of golfer, and the scenery is AMAZING, I almost guarantee you'll see a deer run across the fairway during your round. Take a look here: http://www.golfnorthlands.com/

Just about any course in Myrtle Beach, SC. I have been to several, they are all beautiful. Someone once told me that place is like the golf capital of the southeast or the US...not sure. More courses there per square mile than anywhere? Not sure bout all that though. Great place to play any way you look at. And yes Augusta National is a beautiful course that none of us will ever be able to play at. I have been to that city, if it wasnt for that course, that city would be an unknown.

The one in Microsoft Golf.
Or any local park. Just bring a club, balls, a spade, and maybe a baseball bat. Guerrilla Golfing should be done in isolated areas at first, to gauge reactions, then you can move towards the more populous areas of the park.. but be careful! Sports playing kids' parents can be violent!!
