Sonic Fabric Ties

Most of the time when you see a product made from recycled whatever, the "whatever" part loses its original functionality — you can't exactly use a bench made from recycled milk jugs to hold milk. Which is only one of the many reasons Sonic Fabric Ties ($90) are so neat. Made from 50% colored thread and 50% recycled audio cassette tape, these unusual accessories can actually be played by running a tape head over them, playing sound collages from designer Alyce Santoro's CD Between Stations.
