Sputnik Table Lamp

All lamps are meant to light up a room, but not all of them can start as many varied conversations as the Sputnik Table Lamp (approx. $450). Based on a 1970 design by Paul de Haan for Jolina, the chrome body holds 24 arms — 12 with light fittings, 12 with chrome balls, and all harking back to a time when Russia wasn’t exactly an “ally.”
