A quality cocktail shaker should be one of the first additions to any home bar. While stirring can also mix drinks, there's nothing like the super-cold and bright taste of a properly shaken fruit-based cocktail. We spotted The Metrokane Bullet Cocktail Shaker ($20) recently and immediately loved the iconic art deco inspired design. It was tested out in style over the weekend at an unplanned party, and from what we remember it worked like a champ. Read on for our pomegranate martini recipe.
Combine the following with ice in shaker:
2 parts premium citron vodka (We used Grey Goose Le Citron)
2 parts 100% pomegranate juice
1 part Cointreau
Splash of pulp-free fresh orange juice
Shake vigorously and serve immediately in a chilled martini glass. We tested out a few garnishes and a thinly sliced lime cross section worked well. Fresh pomegranate seeds would also work, but they're hard to find in many parts of the country. Not to mention messy.
