Celebration Mickey

Believed to be the largest gold sculpture cast in U.S. history, this one-of-a-kind Celebration Mickey ($TBA) is now for sale. It was designed by Disney artist Marc Delle in recognition of Mickey Mouse's 100th birthday, which was in 2001, and has been certified to be an authentic piece by the Disneyland Resort. The statue is 24-inches high, 15-inches wide and 9-inches deep, weighs over 100 lbs., and is valued at $4 million. Sure, it's outrageously expensive and doesn't serve much of a purpose beyond being something to look at, but how often do you get to claim you have the largest gold sculpture of anything in U.S. history?
