Uncrate Kid's Holiday Gift Guide

First Row: Start your young one on the path to becoming a CSI with this Discovery Whodunit? Forensics Lab ($80), which includes cool lab instruments and six cases to work through. If science isn't their bag (and they're a little younger) you can get them a pimp ride in this 5 mph Fisher-Price Power Wheels Cadillac Escalade ($250). Of course not all cool toys have to be so expensive — the Lite-Brite FX Flash ($20) provides a lot of fun for your Jackson with strobe effects, music, and neon paint. Speaking of which, everyone likes music, so you can really never go wrong with an iTunes Gift Card ($15-$50).

Second Row: For the future State Patrolman in your life, start their training early with this working Hot Wheels Radar Gun ($18). If they tend to be a little less law-oriented, try giving them Zizzle Zounds ($40), an interactive audio sculpture which plays music along with a light show. If your recipient is the dreamer type, consider the Celestial Mobile ($80) that features a 100% accurate depiction of the planets, but if they'd rather be racing from planet to planet instead of looking at them, the Lego Star Wars Special Edition X-Wing Fighter ($50) should fit the bill.

Third Row: Spend some quality time on the course with your little one thanks to the Nike Junior Ignite 3H, 4-PW Set with Steel Shafts ($400). Keep the competition going when you get home with the Carrera Open-Wheel Race Set ($80), which comes with more than 35' of track. All that action might get your little guy or girl thirsty, so get them some refreshment from the 2-liter Simpsons Water Dispenser ($25) as they kick back in the ultra-cool Mod Rocker ($320).

Fourth Row: If they're a thrill seeker, you can't go wrong with the K'NEX Vertical Vengeance Coaster Play Set ($50) that comes with over 1375 parts, or you can get them ready for science class with the Big Bad Booming Bugs Electronic Observation Station ($20), which provides larger-than life views and sounds of their six-legged friends. Start them making winter memories that will last with the Snow Bunker ($85), an inflatable snowball fight HQ that comes with two snow shields. If all the above doesn't work, make the picky bugger work for their present with the Black & Decker Jr. Power Tools Workshop ($50).
