Roger Federer Gear

Nobody's as good on the court as Roger Federer — and nobody's as classy and stylish on his way to and from the court as Federer. In honor of his fifth consecutive Wimbledon championship and the five-set epic battle yesterday against Rafael Nadal, we bring you Federer's top choices of equipment and apparel to make you at least look as good as the man in white.

Wilson K Factor K Six-One Tour 90 Racquet

First things first — you can have all of the fancy performance clothes you want, but if you don't have a racquet, you can't even step on the court. Federer's longtime weapon of choice is the Wilson K Factor K Six-One Tour 90 ($200). The pro-level racquet features unmatched control that will let you send forehands down the line with radar-like precision.

Nike Wimbledon Suit & Bag

After Federer's daring off-white blazer at Wimbledon 2006, Nike pulled out all the stops this year with a spectacular collection of high-end gear that is more Louis Vuitton than Rod Laver. First, they created a brand new, all-white blazer with RF crest logo on the chest, along with a pair of matching warm-up trousers. There's also a super preppy V-neck sweater vest and an ultra-lux white and gold leather tennis bag. You can't yet purchase any of it — but no doubt there's going to be folks lining up for this stuff when it finally goes on sale.

Wilson K Pro Tour Super Six

We haven't yet found the limited edition white signature version of this bag, but the classic red Wilson K Pro Tour Super Six ($75) will do the trick just the same. New for 2007, this Federer favorite sports patent-pending Thermo Guard and Moisture Guard technology to keep your rackets cool, and sweaty items separate from your other gear.

Nike Air Zoom Vapor IV

You won't be playing on grass anytime soon, so you don't need his exact Wimbledon match shoes (above). The look-alikes available from Eastbay have an outer that's more suited for hard surfaces. The Nike Air Zoom Vapor IV ($110) also gives you lots of speed, low-profile cushioning, and durability.

Nike Control Polo

You're not a real tennis player unless you're rocking a polo. Federer's choice is the Nike Control Polo ($65), which is constructed of Dri-Fit fabric to keep you dry during those hot summer matches. Again, we're left hoping Nike comes out with the white and gold version he wore this year at the All England Club.

Nike Control Short

These classic shorts worn by Federer are also made from Dri-Fit material to keep away the swap-ass. The Nike Control Short ($45) sports a fixed waistband with two-snap closure, mesh leg slits for ventilation, front pockets, and back right pocket with zip closure.

Other Essentials

Federer also relies on the Nike Swoosh Bandana ($8), Wilson Pro Overgrip ($4), Nike Swoosh Double-Wide Wristbands ($8), and Nike Dri-Fit Tennis Crew Socks ($8).

Rafael Nadal Gear

If your bets were riding on Nadal, then you should already know he packs a Babolat AeroPro Drive Cortex Racquet ($185) in a Babolat AeroPro Tennis 12-Pack Bag ($60), and wears the Nike Power Sleeveless Top ($55) with the Nike Power Board Short ($55) and the Nike Air Max Breathe Cage Shoes ($110). Yes, it was quite the Nike championship this year.
