The lack of weather information on most handheld GPS units can be a real problem. The Bushnell ONIX 400 ($500; Summer 2008) uses XM satellite broadcasts to grab real-time weather information, including Doppler radar, letting you know exactly what's going on around you. Plus, the 400 boasts a rugged waterproof design, a rechargeable lithium ion battery, a vivid 3.5-inch screen, and, since it's already getting weather info from XM, it can also tap into over 170 channels of radio, keeping you entertained out there in the great outdoors.
