Mac Pro

Apple's transition to Intel is now complete, thanks to the new Mac Pro ($2500). Ready to gobble up data as fast as you can send it, the standard model features 2 Dual-Core Intel Xeon processors running at 2.66 GHz, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 250GB Hard Drive, and a 16x SuperDrive — but don't worry if that's not enough for you: Build To Order options include dual 3.0 GHz processors, 16GB of RAM, and a whopping 2TB of internal hard drive space. All in all, there are close to 5 million configurations. Inputs and outputs include FireWire 400, FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 ports on both the front and back. While the Mac Pro is going to be blazing fast now, we're already dreaming of running Mac OS X Leopard on it next spring, hopefully hooked up to one of Apple's 30-inch Cinema Displays ($2000).
