Dreamed up by Waxy.org's Andy Baio and made real via a Kickstarter project, Kind of Bloop: An 8-Bit Tribute to Miles Davis' Kind of Blue ($5) is a brilliant remake of the entire landmark jazz album, done by chiptune musicians Ast0r, Disasterpeace, Sergeeo, Shnabubula, and Virt, featuring terrific NES-style conversions that have every bit as much head-bopping, chill-out charisma as the originals.
