Accelerate by REM

Surprise! REM isn't dead — a fact many of you may have overlooked following 2004's abortive release Around the Sun. REM set out to prove that they're still relevant with their newest release Accelerate, and prove they did. The taut 35-minute album features just shy of a dozen tracks and each of them sufficiently rock out (especially for band within an arm's reach of claiming social security). Standout tracks: "Horse to Water," "Until the Day is Done" and "I'm Gonna DJ."
