Juno ($16 DVD; $28 Blu-ray) is one of those rare films that teeters on the edge of being a chick flick, but manages to execute its plot effectively enough to avoid sappiness and achieve pure greatness. Not to mention it was by far the funniest film of 2007. As a result, it's not the biggest shock that the film took Best Original Screenplay at the Oscars. It stars the Oscar-nominated Ellen Page in the second iconic role of her young career, along with the brilliant Jason Bateman and Michael Cera (reunited after the tragic cancellation of Arrested Development) and Jennifer Garner with her cromagnum forehead. An all-around great film that's so full of clever commentary you'll nearly barf.
