We're not really sure if we like the styling of the new Ford Flex, but it's definitely better than driving a minivan — which is exactly what it replaces. Joining the Edge and Taurus X in Ford's new crossover lineup, the Flex ($TBA; Summer 2008) is aimed at those who need the room and convenience of a family vehicle but can't stomach a minivan and don't need the off-road and gas-sucking features of an SUV. Along with a fuel-efficient 3.5-liter V-6 engine and 7-passenger seating, the Flex offers a ton of cool features — an interior refrigerator, second-row footrests, an in-car communications and entertainment system, capless fueling, a 2,300-song personal juke box, programmable ambient interior lighting, rear back-up camera, and a Multi-Panel Vista Roof.
