Yes. Everyday. Sometimes twice.
I do the whole crockett and tubbs stubble pretty often. Then when I need to, my shave is totally smooth and clean. Best of both worlds.
I pretty much always rock at least a little bit of stubble, which I let grow for several days before re-trimming with the short hair trimmer on my electric razor - clean shaven, I look like a choir boy.
I tend to shave for special occasions, but for the most part I sport a 1-2 day old stubble.
I get really lazy... i shave once a week... it's not that hair grows slow... i just get really lazy.
I try and shave every other day, but it usually works out to Monday, Wednesday and Friday and once over the weekend if I'm going out with people (family, girlfriend) that has a preference for me being clean-shaven. Shaving in the shower is great not only for the razor burn but also for keeping the mess to a minimum.
If you're having a real problem with razor burn, try different shaving gels that are designed for sensitive skin (Shick is pretty good as is Gillette) and get Neutrogena Razor Defense or something similar.
Four words:
Real Men Grow Beards.
'Nuff Said!
I have had a beard for the last 5 months. It's great but it all depends on your job. Luckily I have one where a beard is acceptable.
Depends. Are you in a job that requires you to look presentable to the public? Or are you working in a tech startup with a lax dress code? Whatever it is, tailor yourself to look your most professional for your prospective audience. The last think you want is for someone to think you forgot to wash your face...
I'm blessed with a girlfriend that likes stubble so I go every 3 days or so. If a special occasion comes up I'll either use my trimmer to make the edges more defined or shave it off. To encourage quick shadow I hold an ice cold cloth to my face right after I shave to avoid looking like a 14 years old.
It depends on what the girls like. Some guys just look stupid with the stubble, and others wear it well. Try it both ways, and see where the compliments start coming in and roll with it.
My girl likes both stubble and clean shaven. Personally I've found that being clean shaven every day makes a statement about who you are since most guys don't. Then on the rare occasion that you miss a few days its stands out more than the guys who are always scruffy.
